Two posts in one day, crazy I know.
So, I got a Sony eReader for Christmas. Yes I know it is not Christmas yet. I got it early. So now not only do I have to keep track of my books I now have to keep track of my ebooks. I have been inform that since I have an eReader I do not need to purchase and more print books. Yea, who you kidding? That will not be happening. I have to at lease complete the collections of series I have now and then I won't have to except for with my Auto-Buy authors. So I composed a new list and everything I have read will be marked out in RED ...

1 oz unthawed of frozen lemonade concentrate

1 - 1.5 oz of vodka
6 oz of club soda

Pour into a shaker filled with ice. Do the shaking thing for 30 seconds while singing "Shake, Shake, Shake...Shake, Shake, Shake...Shake your boo - tay...Shake your boo - tay". Strain then serve over ice with a splash of grenadine, a cherry, and of course an umbrella.

I went to Half Price Book Store today and I did not buy one single romance book. I bought a couple of picture books for my dad, Bobby bought a humor book, and the only book I got was a history book on Prehistoric People.

CRAZY!!!!!!! Not a single romance book. I really think something is wrong with me.

Summer Fun

Got Six Flags season passes oh and Wet-N-Wild. Very exciting.
Went last night and it was a rush to be on some of the rides. I haven't been to Six Flags in years. Its been crazy long. Couple of funny stories:

1. The first roller coster we got on was the runaway mountain, even when I did go to Six Flags that was my least favorite ride. I can honestly say as of last night I have been on that right twice now. Anywho, so we are on the ride, and for those who know, its pitch black, no lights. I caught myself closing my eyes during the duration of the ride even though it is dark. I know.
2. Another ride we got on was the raging rapids. (yes I use the original names, old school). Of course me and another girl on a ride that holds 10 people, we are the only ones that are completely soaked. I mean soaked, not just little splashes here and there, from my shoes to my shirt watered down. Well not my shoes because they are water proof but the inside of one shoe and not the other. Hey, at least I was not hot ;)

At the end of the night they had a glow in the dark parade and it was awesome, very well put and the lights were good. We have plans for wet n wild tomorrow and possible friday. Great way to start (and end) my summer ....

I am glad for reading it the writing is amazing and I love how Lisa McMann writes it. I am just said it ends with only 3 books, but with my list, it is for the better ;)

I bought Tessa Adams debut book "Dark Embers" today. Really excited about it but am going to try and read some other books before I move to this one, since it is so new. Wish me luck on my control, I have it sitting on the table next to me. Its just looking at me saying, 'why are you not reading me?' Its very distracting.

I have no excuse for not posting new romance books and updates and such. It has just been a horrible new year. I am hoping it will get better, hence the reason to start posting blogs. My first one being of the Twilight Saga. This picture is awesome. I am not sure who made it, the only name I found was Penwick. It is just amazing. Now don't get me wrong I am a fan but you have to admit it is funny.

I will admit I am a hardcore romance reader but this series had me from the first word. Both books. It gives you a more Official side of what our world would probably be like. How even the paranormal have laws to follow in read society. I am pretty sure this is not how the author intended for me to take out of the book, but that is what I saw.

I saw outsiders how aren't really outsiders looking into the paranormal world. The characters were trying to found their place just as the demons made havoc and forcing themselves a place as well. Trying to be all power and gods. SO like those demons.

The writing is incredible. Its first person but you get to understand Tess more this way and a personal note. I don't think the book would be amazing otherwise. I got to see how Tess interupts things and how the reason behind her thinking. Even I may not have agreed with how her thought process worked. I enjoyed her as a character and would love to be her friend.

I personally surprise myself for actually picking it up and reading it. Like I have said before, I am a picky reader. Although I am disappointed that it took me, pretty much 3 days to finish the second one (with school, work, and errands). It should of only taken me a day. I am getting old in reading ... hehehehehe

In the reading part. I am kind of venturing out of romance and am in the process of reading a Sci Fi, its called Night Child By Jes Battis .. I am more then half way done with the story. I will let you know what I think. Also am looking into a couple of new authors: Cathrine Mann and Marliss Melton.

And of course, Patrica Briggs new book The Hunting Ground was released today from her Alpha and Omega Series, am really exctied about this one. Hopfully between my busy school schdule I can go up to borders and get my copy.

In the movies, House season 5 and One Tree Hill season 6 are out today ... am too poor to get either but am really excited about them both. Totaly fan and yes I am one of those crazy loons who waits for them to be released on dvd before I ever watch them on tv, so i am a seasom behind!

I went with Ebooks because it seemed the place for the Ta'e'sha Chronicles. They aren't very mainstream :P I also loved Loose Id and was very excited when they chose my sample. They are the company I really wanted to work with and I was right, they are fantastic! I like the idea of not having my title ending up in a landfill. Having worked in a bookstore for several years I was sick from seeing how much paper is thrown away. Hundreds of books are destroyed and thrown away every month and by publishing in a primarily electronic format I feel like I'm doing a small bit to help our planet (yes I know that sounds cheesy).

E-publishing… I chose to do it because I had ideas that I knew weren’t long enough for any New York publisher. I have also been involved with online readers for about 4 years, many of whom said, “You should write an eBook.” I read them myself constantly, so when the idea and the opportunity converged, I went for it. I enjoyed a ton of things about the experience. The “immediacy” of the books’ release. Three to six months is still a lot faster than ten to fifteen. I also enjoyed getting paid monthly, rather than twice a year or on signing. I liked have more creative control over content and cover, at least in most cases. Lastly, I loved the electronic editing process. It’s quick and easy, everyone has a record of every change to the file, and there’s no deciphering anyone’s handwriting! Overall, I’ve enjoyed my e-publishing experience.

This is why I waited ...

There was a reason why I waited to go to college after I graduated from high school. That reason was because I did not want to deal with the BULLSHIT! Like what classes I have to take, the basics. I don't need to take a PE class if I am majoring in psychology. Its high school all over again, excecpt you are paying for these classes this time around.

According to Tarrant County College in Texas, you TAKS scores are no longer valid after 3 years from your graduation date. I okay, not bad. I can understand why, escpecially with the math.

So I had to take the placement test before I could eve nregister for any classes. One reason was because of the 3 year rule and the second reason was because when they transfer my transcripts, my TAKS scores where not printed on them. No one knows why. I didn't have a problem paying the 29.00 to take the test.

I knew I would have problems with the math. I am not good with percent and fractions. The writing totally not a problem along with the reading.

But to my dismay I failed not only the math, like I had expected, but also the reading. Come on. How they hell could I possibly take the test if I couldn't read. Of course there is more to the reading test with the comprehension and such. That's not the point I am trying to make.

So I register for my first semester taking English Com 1 and Introduction to human Culture.
Second semester I took English Com 2, Physical elements of Geography, and Ethics.

Now that I am on my third semester I can't take any history classes or psychology or many other classes because I did not pass the reading.

I found this funny. To any one paying attention with a fucking mind could tell I can read. I retook the test today and even though I study some I knew I would still have problems with the math. The score you have to have for reading to pass is a 78. I made a 76. How fucked up is that. The questions are hard, and my score makes me feel stupid.

Now the part I don't get is I should be able to take any fucking class I want since I am paying for it. Where do they get off telling me I can't take a history class. Its my fucking money.

I have made the choice that if the school refuses to let me take the classes I want to take with my money then I am pulling myself out of that fucked up school and just going to a career school where the only classes I take are for my major not classes that waste my fucking time and money.

#7 - Write Or Die and a Big Thank You

Write or Die on drwicked.com is a writing lab meant to help writers write. Just a little break down of how this lab works.

What you do is pick a word goal. Then you must pick one of four levels:
Gentle Mode , Normal Mode
Kamikaze Mode , Electric Shock Mode

Next is a grace period: Forgiving, Strict, and Evil
Last is a time frame.

Simple enough, right? Wrong! With our actions come consequences, here they are:

With Gentle Mode if you stop writing, after a certain amount of time has passed a reminder will pop up to remind you to keep writing. Gently!

In Normal Mode if you have stopped writing then the most annoying sound will start playing until you continue on with your writing.

Then in Kamikaze Mode, which is the most dangerous one. You writing will un-write itself.

Last is the Electric Shock Mode. The background will color change through shades until red and play music. Mind was the Hanson Sound Mmm Bop. Very annoying. But that was with a strict grace period.

When you have made your selection and click write, you are then taking to a page that has the time limit you picked on the bottom left hand corner and you word count on the other corner. On the top right corner is a done button and a pause button. In case you have to go to the bathroom or get called away from your computer.

Make sure you ALWAYS copy/paste your work. The lab does not save it for you and it would be a bummer if you lost all your hard work.

I dare you to try and let us know how well or bad you did. It’s a fun way to write if you have
Writers-block-itis or just need a new page laid out in front of you instead of the same boring word page. Enjoy it and have fun. Beware.

#6 - Defining the Basics

I picked this workshop because I know there are words out their I don't know when it comes to the writing world. Words like HEA. For the longest time I never knew what that was until I finally asked an editor. It means "happily ever after" out of all the things it could mean, I never once guessed it correctly. So I picked so words that I had trouble with and knew most people probably didn't know the correct meaning. Then some just for fun, like spanking! (HEHEHEHE) Either from my whole own knowledge or searching the world wide web.

ARC – Advance Review Copy

BDSM – “Bondage” and “Discipline”, “Domination” and “Submission”, “Sadism” and Masochism” Involve physical restraint, servitude, pain, also a type of clothing: fetishistic black leather, PVC outfits, High-heel boots, and fishnet tights.

Blurb – A short summary either promoting the book and the author or featuring testimonials from book reviewers or well-known people. Also called flap copy or jacket copy.

Bondage – Involved being tied up or otherwise restrained for pleasure.

Copyright – A means to protect an author’s work.

Cover Letter – A brief letter that accompanies the manuscript being sent to an agent or editor

Discipline – Any training intended to produce a specific character or pattern of behavior.

Dominate – Having control and power, enjoys performing any practices of BDSM. It is either a simple desire for dominance or the interplay of will involved in any scenario.

D/S - “Domination” and “Submission” A relationship with one dominant partner and one submissive partner

Electronic Rights – Secondary or subsidiary rights dealing with electronic/multimedia formats

Electronic Submissions – A submission made by modem or on computer disk

Erotica – Fiction or art that is sexually oriented; sexual love in a sensuous or voluptuous manner.

Fair Use – A provision of the copyright law that says short passages from copyrighted material may be used without infringing on the owner’s rights.

FF – Female on Female

FFM – Bi Ménage: Females are sexual active and add a male to their bed.

FMF – Hetero Ménage: Females are straight but just take pleasure in pleasing one man
together.

Genre – Refers either to a general classifications, such as the novel or the poem, or to the categories within those classifications, such as the problem novel or the sonnet.

MS or MSS – Manuscript (s)

MMF – Bi Ménage: males are sexual active and add a female to their bed.

MM – Male on Male

Manuscript – author’s original work, book. Either handwritten or typed.

Master – “The head of household” Most Dom’s prefer to be called Master when involve with sexual activities.

Mistress – Sexual partner and companion to man, when they are not married. Female Dom’s prefer to me called Mistress when involved with sexual activities.

Obedience – The willingness to follow the will of others.

Pen Name – The use of a name other than your legal name, also called a pseudonym.

Proof Reading – Close reading and correction of a manuscript’s typographical errors.

Query – A letter that sells an idea to an editor or agent. Usually a query is brief and uses attention-getting prose.

Rough Sex – Wild, energetic sexual intercourse. Can include but not limited to bites, scratches, and bruising, are not uncommon results. This is not rape, can be considered BDSM.

S/M – “Sadism" and "Masochism" the desire to inflict pain upon the sexual object, and its reverse.

SAE – Self Addressed Envelope

SASE – Self addressed, stamped envelope that should be included with all correspondence.

Slave – An extreme submissive.

Spanking (sexual) – Practice of spanking another for the sexual gratification of either partner. Consider BDSM activity.

Submissive – Enjoy taking orders from a dominant. Trusts the Dom to take care of them and please them.

Synopsis – A brief summary of a story, novel, or play. As part of a book proposal, it is a comprehensive summary condensed in a couple of pages determined by the publisher.

Every year we produce a series of four anthologies, six short stories in each. These are very popular with readers and are a great showcase for authors.

~ Any genre; we need a mix of genres for each volume. For these anthologies, no extreme BDSM, female/female, femdom.
~ NO excess violence/gore, rape
~ The contract for these special anthologies is not negotiable. Grant of publishing rights is for life of copyright. Royalties per author are: Digital - 6.25% of Cover price; Print - 1.25% of Cover price less credited returns. Please do not submit a story if you are not willing to accept these contract terms.

Quality erotica stories for women. Guidelines:
~ 10K to 120K word count
~ Any genre
~ Must be very hot and erotic
~ The focus is on the sexual relationship and activities, the “sexual journey” or adventure.
~ May certainly have romantic elements, but doesn't have to be a "romance"—that is, the story does not have to focus on the development of a romantic relationship, hero and heroine don't have to be sexually faithful to each other, does not need a committed-couple HEA ending.
~ Sexual content follows the same rules as EC. We may be willing to stretch a bit further—but hey, we already go almost to the limit with EC erotic romances. Frequently Asked Questions
If I submit my manuscript to EC, what are the chances it will be published?
This fluctuates, so it’s a difficult question to answer. Overall, we currently have an acceptance rate of roughly 4% for unsolicited submissions, which is very high for the industry.

Do I need an agent to submit a manuscript to EC?
No. Although some of our authors have agents, it is not necessary to have one in order to submit a manuscript to us for consideration.

How do I submit to Ellora’s Cave or Cerridwen Press?
Electronic submissions only; no paper. Authors must be competent in MSWord, comfortable with email and online discussion loops. Read and follow the instructions contained in this document.

How long does it take to find out whether my manuscript has been accepted or rejected?
It depends on many factors, the most important one being how busy we are at the time we receive it. Submissions typically receive an initial response within six weeks. For those submissions selected for additional consideration, final decision could be one to twelve months.

What are Ellora’s Cave’s contract terms?
Full contract supplied for review upon acceptance of story.
Royalties: 37.5% for digital releases; 7.5 % for print books.
Length of grant of publishing rights: Life of copyright
Includes digital, print, audio, translation, and secondary/subsidiary rights.
Royalty payments contractually guaranteed quarterly, but in actuality we have always paid monthly.

How much money can I expect to make at EC?
That varies greatly from author to author. Royalty payments depend largely upon how many titles you have placed with us, how popular those titles become with readers, and how well you market your stories. We have authors located in Canada, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand. If your bank will accept checks in U.S. dollars drawn on an American bank, then yes, you can. We pay only by mailed paper check, no electronic payments. Bank fees are author’s responsibility.

Linden Bay Romance

Linden Bay is a publishing company offering romance and cross-genre romance books in electronic formats and trade paperback. We are a royalty paying publisher with no fees paid by authors, and are included on the Romance Writers of America's list of non-Vanity, non-Subsidy publishers. Extensive editing and proofreading services are provided on each accepted manuscript. Linden Bay is a strictly romance publisher only. All works should remain in a light tone. Novels should focus on the developing relationship between the central adult characters as they discover their attraction to each other. Passion is paramount, and stories that contain a high level of unresolved sexual tension are given particular attention. Sex scenes can range from mildly erotic to very erotic, and can be as graphic as the story and the author's style deem appropriate.

Please note: Sex between consenting adults only. We do not accept any submissions containing sex with minors (under 18 years).

Most interested in fast-paced, escapist stories and require that all have an HEA (happily ever after) or HFN (happy for now) ending. Whether a light contemporary with comedic elements or a serious historical filled with drama, all manuscripts should conclude on a positive note. The hero(es) should be admirable enough for the reader to fall in love with as the story unfolds, but flawed enough to feel authentic. The heroine should be a woman the reader can relate to as she struggles with her own inner conflicts and, like the hero(es), learns to overcome her personal challenges.

How To Submit:
As an internet based publisher, all our submissions are handled electronically, so please do not send a hard copy submission as it will not be processed. An initial submission email query should be sent to: submissions@lindenbayromance.com with the subject line: NEW SUBMISSION

The following should be included in the body of the e-mail.
1. A paragraph giving an overview of your writing background with a list of any previous published works including dates of publication and publisher. Please give basic personal details: full legal name, pseudonym, home address, and telephone.
2. An outline of the promotional efforts you intend to make for this book. 3. A synopsis of sufficient length to explain the story. Should be a minimum of 2 pages and include how the story ends. Please indicate word count within the synopsis, and the heat level you would rate the book based on the LBR heat scale found on the bottom of our home page.
4. The first three chapters. If this novel is one you would rate a 3 or higher, please be sure to also include the first scene in the book where the hero and heroine are physically intimate, and indicate where this occurs in the storyline (starts at 16,758 or 51,500 words -or- page 43 of 186 pages).

The submissions process normally takes 6-8 weeks, but can vary based on current volume. You will receive an acknowledgment of receipt within one business day. If we feel the story will fit well with our catalogue, you will be contacted and asked to send the entire manuscript for review. About Loose ID's Books:
Loose Id takes romance to the edge: the edge of the genre, the edge of convention, the edge of the abyss. And then we throw it right on in. A Loose Id romance is deliberately, specifically, and insistently erotic. It ought to make you blush and squirm in your seat, while keeping you turning pages because you have to find out what happens next.

Your story should have a clear romance hook, even though we encourage plots that have a broader external conflict. Readers love sprawling stories, but they want to know from the outset who is going to fall in love, what's going to get in their way, and why it's important that they resolve it. Remember, the idea is to indulge the id by fulfilling familiar reader fantasies in a new and unique way, so those fantasies need to be recognizable and powerful.

Specific Guidelines
Length
20,000-120,000 words. Flings of less than 20,000 words and shorter stories are by invitation only to authors currently publishing with us. Stories of 55,000 - 70,000 words will receive an advance and be automatically considered for print.

Re-releases
In very rare circumstances we will accept previously published manuscripts that meet our guidelines, however they will only be considered in conjunction with a complete, unpublished manuscript meeting our guidelines by the same author.

Series and Serials
We're not generally interested in serials or series beyond three books at this time. While we'll still look at manuscripts intended to be part of a much longer series, each story must stand alone and subsequent books will be judged on their own merit as well as the sales for previous books in the series.

Anthologies/group projects
Loose Id no longer accepts anthology or group project proposals from authors. Loose Id authors may inquire of their editor but should be advised that even if the proposal is approved, individual books in series will be judged on their own merit and author invitations will be made by Loose Id.

Absolutely no:
Short stories, see above.
Pedophilia. That is, sex between adults and underage characters.
Necrophilia. Undead doesn't count.
Bestiality. Sentient shifters, aliens and paranormal creatures are OK.
Scat or golden showers. Territorial marking may be acceptable in extraordinary cases. Inquire before submitting.
Rape or incest (as defined by the culture in which the story occurs) calculated to arouse the reader. Villains may commit rape or incest to demonstrate malicious intent, but it should occur in a manner that is not arousing, or offstage. Rape or incest can have occurred in a character's past, but the hero or heroine should never perpetrate rape or incest during the scope of the story. Forced seduction, capture, or dubious consent are acceptable.

Sending a Proposal
Please submit exactly and only the following:

A Query Letter with:
Your name and contact e-mail.
The name of the manuscript you are submitting and the name of the series it is a part of, if any.
The completion status and expected length of your manuscript.
The genre, the premise, and the degree of sensuality present in your manuscript.

A short but complete Synopsis focusing on the characters' goals and motivations, the major story events, climax and ending.

A Partial which includes the first Three Chapters of your manuscript. A short prologue should not be counted. If all of the major characters are not represented in the first three chapters or the love story has not yet begun, please send through those points to the nearest chapter break.

Authors with multiple previous publications may submit a proposal which includes a Query Letter and an expanded Synopsis. Please note that acceptance on proposal, while it does occur, is not the norm.

Formatting Your Submission
Please follow these simple formatting guidelines precisely:

RTF files only. Submissions in DOC or in the body of the e-mail will not be accepted.
Double-spaced. Standard 12 pt serif font. Times New Roman or Courier preferred.
Emphasis and foreign words may be underlined or italicized.

What's your turnaround time on proposals?
Our current response time to a query or proposal is less than one month.

If my book is contracted, when will it be published?
Barring delays in editing on your end, your book will be published within a year of first submitting a completed manuscript to your editor.

WILL MY BOOK GO TO PRINT?
From time to time, we do publish selected titles in print. But print is expensive and doesn't provide a good return on investment. We've elected not to jeopardize our financial status by putting every book into print.

Every book is evaluated for print based on criteria including e-book sales, buzz, reviews, author sales history, author history with the company, and print market viability. Those that provide a best fit with our criteria and present the highest likelihood of return on investment are put into print.

Above all, however, we're committed to expanding the electronic publishing market, bringing in new customers, and finding new market segments. Electronic publishing is, still, the wave of the future. So far, e-books have barely begun to catch on, but with the technologies now coming to market and just beginning to mature, we expect to see even more growth.

How often are royalties paid?
Royalties on e-books are paid monthly. Royalties on print books are paid quarterly.

Do I need an agent to submit to Loose Id?
Not at all. We welcome submissions from aspiring and previously published authors, agented or not.

Can I use my own art for the cover?
No. We have a professional marketing team that understands the vision of the company and the types of art that appeals to our customers. A cover from Loose Id's staff of professional artists will sell more copies of your book.

Are there any subjects or plots that you won't accept?
Good authors can make a difficult subject work, so we hesitate to discourage you from writing any story that's yearning to be written. However, we will not accept a story that includes pedophilia, necrophilia, or the use of certain bodily functions for sexual arousal. Contract Terms:
Loose Id is a royalty-paying epublisher. We hold to the highest standards of contract fairness, as defined by EPIC.

We ask for electronic rights for a term of two years, have a full audit clause, and pay 35% of gross sales on standalone stories. We do have a series first look clause, but it applies only while the contract is in force, and only if we are not in breach of our obligations under the contract; all ownership in characters, worlds, and 'themes' remains with the author. All submissions must be new material to be considered for publication, no reprints. Once you’ve had a new work accepted by Samhain, you are free to submit previously published works to your editor for consideration. Only one manuscript at a time per author please! The preferred word count is 60,000 or longer, but they are quite happy to publish shorter works with word counts of no less than 12,000 and no more than 120,000. Manuscript Requirements
What we look for in submitted manuscripts.
-Creative storytelling and original style.
-Weave tales of erotic romance through creating strong, dynamic and intelligent characters that your readers will remember.
-Plot driven erotic romances that illustrate the relationship between key characters, ideally with a happy ending, but if not it should be promising.
-Varying degrees of sex throughout the story, with lots of opportunity for erotic exploration, interwoven with levels of tension and passion (take a look at our book rating info)
-Meaningful and expressive language that is explicit, but suitable for the storyline.
-Writers who have a unique and new approach and a writing style that sets them apart from the rest. You must have a true talent for storytelling with an erotic slant.
-Accept gay, lesbian, bisexual and heterosexual stories.

What we ask for in submitted manuscripts.
Only accept electronic communication. So, it's essential that you send your script to us in e-format and only accept the following:
-Detailed synopsis of your book
-First 3 chapters and end chapter (short stories, please send in the whole manuscript)
-Send in 1 inch margins, 1.5 lines spacing, standard 12 pt font. Book Antiqua preferred.
-Generally we accept any size of story from 10,000 to 125,000 words (see our book length info)
-Language - Please send in British English

Books will be published only if author owns all rights
Include your name, pen-name and contact e-mail in the Query Letter and Synopsis
Send the submissions package to subm...@totalebound.com.

Publishing Rights
Your submission must have full rights available, including both digital and print. If not, please don’t send it to us.

What's not acceptable
We're pretty open when it comes to creativity (we certainly don't want to stifle it), and will look at most story lines, but…we do have our limits!
NO paedophilia. Don't even dare go there!
NO rape as titillation. We accept that it may sometimes be used as part of a plotline, especially supporting character development, but definitely not for the use of getting your rocks off!
NO bodily functions - i.e. watersports, toilet play - eeeew!
NO necrophilia. The dead definitely don't do it for us - of course, we don't count the bloodsucking undead variety!
NO bestiality. This does not apply to shape-shifters and might not apply to certain breeds from a sci-fi perspective.

Writing Fiction:
Up to 1,000 words = short-short, flash fiction, or vignette
1,000 to 6,000 = short story
6,000 to 15,000 = long story or novelette
15,000 to 45,000 = novella
45,000 to 120,000 = novel (though most commonly 50,000 to 80,000 words)
Anything more than 120,000 words will probably need to be broken up into a series of books

Writing Non-Fiction:
Less than 1,000 = filler, sidebar, or review
1,000 to 6,000 = feature article

He stormed over to my car, looked up at me, and shouted, “I AM NOT HAPPY!!!”
So, I looked down at him and said, “Well, then which one are you?”

I hate that just a much. Its then you realize who every came up with the cover, never really read the book. (would like immortal outlaws)

Michael Jackson passed away June 25, 2009. He was and will always be the "King Of Pop". Michael will always remain the Icon of Pop Culture. Michael Jackson is the one thing everyone in the world had in common.

Michael created alot of first. As in the first black artist to have is "mini movie" on MTV. Back when MTV actually showed music videos. He was the first to make a music video into a "mini movie" by using movie directors to help him create his world. He was the first to cross the races, long before influences like Oprah. Michael did the largest duet when he did the song, We Are The World.

Michael influence more people in his lifetime then any other person in Pop Culture. Big starts like, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Usher, and Chris Tucker. Or the famous people who appeared in his "mini movies" like Eddie Murphey, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Naomi Campbell. To just name a few. Not including all his fans. This may just be my interpretation but all dancing can be traced back to Michael Jackson. The only thing he probably never did was the worm or breakdance on his head. But he started the major dancing movement.

My Weekend, plus

This Weekend I went to the Indy 550 race at Texas Motor Speedway. It was awesome. I love the sound. The cars sound like angry bubblebees, not that I am a fan of angry bubblebees, but you get the joke. (If not, I am sorry, there is no help for you)

It was my dad, his friend tony, me, and my friend Cara. It was her first race. She enojyed it very much. But before that we went to oklahoma to the winstar casino to eat lunch before the race and we gambled a little and when she won her first ten dollars it was like she won the million dollar jackpot. It was amazing watching her win all that money and even more funnier to watch her loose everything push 20. In the end she won everything back though. (can't say the same thing for me, I can't help but push the button. Damn button)

Then on sunday I worked an overnight at work. We were rearranging out store and I was scheduled to work 9pm-6am. Didn't clock out tell 6:50am and then had to be back to work that same day at 7pm. Not even twelve hours. I was tired and cranky. When I am one or both, I am a bitch. No questions!?!

Today is my younger sisters birthday. Happy b-day Kaka. Took her shopping for clothes and of course like the rest of the world, we are both twilight fans. She owns all the books except new moon, so I let her get that book, the calandar, and the boardgame. (we changed the rules-so much more fun our way). Then had a family dinner as tradition. (with what family we have left). Ended as a good day. (I also got an outfit for myself. Couldn't help it - hehehehe)

Have to work in the morning at 7am. Goodnight.

4 Year Anniversary ... WOW

Hello all, my four year anniversary with my boyfriend was April 8. 4 years together is a long time. We are not like tradition couples I guess, but we went to the King Tut exhibit and the Dallas World Aquairm.

Both were really exciting, it was awesome to see all the egypt stuff and how they looked and what they wore and place their items in. If this exhibit comes to your town you need to go see it. I bought a neckalce of the baset, the cat the worship. Its really interesting.

At DWA, which i had never been before was pretty cool. The manatee was really cool and fat and big. I got really pissed when we got to the rattlesnakes because they just got doing eating. There were 3 of them in one cage and two of them had the tails of the mouse out of there mouths. I wanted to see them hunt, kill, and eat.

Okay, for those of you who don't know, I love koala bears, I collect koala bears, anything koala bear and i have to have it ... so at the DWA i found a koala bear necklace. My boyfriend has this obession with green grass so they had the patches where you can grow green clean grass. He was very happy

For dinner we went to he rain forest cafe and I also got a koala bear pen and a stuffed animal. It was a wonderful night and day and i got koala bears ...

Back to my book reviews, i am still trying to work those out. they will be coming shortly

Last night was so much fun. My two best girls and my dad went to the dinnter and the movies to see "Race To Witch Mountain" ... it was a very good movie ... then after that my two girls, my boyfriend, and another friend went bowling ... i totally suck at bowling but i like the game ... its fun to bowl . . . it was so crazy we came up with nicknames ... I am lil nip, then there is cdog and for Nikky we really didn't come up with anything, but when we do i will let you know ...

my aunt got married today ... congrads and goodluck ... it was a wonderful service

tonight i have my bookclub meeting for the Persuasion ... im sorry i can not get into it after the second chapter ... it hurt my head to even try .. i am not saying its not a wonderful story (from other readers) but i can not wrap my mind around it ...

after tonight we will have another book i will post it on here so if you want to read it, go for it, just in case i dont you can tell me how good or bad it was

Now I don't know where this came from or who to give credit to but it is funny. I got it at work from a co-worker and I wanted to share this chain-letter with you .. also know I am not posting this to piss anyone off ... its just a cute letter for fun to read ...

The Following wa found posted very low on a refriderator door:

Dear Dogs and Cats,
The dishes with the paw prints are yours and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate and food does not stake a claim for it becoming your food and dish, nor do I find that aestherically pleasing in the slightest.

The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a reactrack. Racing me to the bottom is not the object. Tripping me doesn't help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king size bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to endure your comfort, however. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hangin out on the other end to maximize space is nothing but sarcasm.

For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathromm! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years - canine/feline attendance is not required.

The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other dog or cat's butt. I cannot stress this enough.

Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on the front door.

TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND LIKE TO COMPLAIN ABOUT OUR PETS:
1 - They live here. You don't.
2 - If you don't want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That's why they call it 'fur'-niture.
3 - I like my pets a lot better than I like most people
4 - To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all fours and don't speak clearly

Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
1 - Eat less
2 - Don't ask for money all the time
3 - Are easier to train
4 - Normally come when called
5 - Never ask to drive the car
6 - Don't hand out with drug-using people
7 - Don't smoke or drink
8 - Don't want to wear your clothers
9 - Don't have to buy the latest fashions
10 - Don't need a gazillion dollars for college

I am no longer doing the word of the day on this blog, you can find the link on the blogs that I follow ... I know I am late posting even after I said I would try even week, but my internet went out and then I was trying to figure out how to handle the w-o-t-d ... and I fixed both problems ...

Dare is almost complete. I know I keep on saying that but I also keep on putting it off and it would of been completed sooner but I gave my friend Nikkie the wrong draft and so it needs one more round of editing and them its done ... it is a nervous feeling knowing something you have been working on is almost finished. No more stressing, trying to figure out what the characters are trying to do in the plot ...

As you can see I still have quite a few more and theses are just my mayor ones, I have a comple of small ones like the Jogger's story-no title yet, and dark desire-working on if this title will fit, so far yes but we will see ..

The next ones to finish are Forever Citrus and Walk Away. I would like to have Walk Away complete for the shapeshifter submission for samhain publishing but I am not even close to be done with it. Forever Citrus however is almost there. I just need to bulk down and add the last few scenes and fight this writers-bloc-itis ... I will let you know how my progress goes when I get somewhere ...

On a more personal note, looking at studing aboard to either Australia or Ireland ... If I go to Ireland Nikkie and Cay will go with me but if I choose Australia, Cay has already been there and Nikkie is not really into that location as much as Ireland ... I am looking forward to either one.

Bad boys and wild girls. Cats, wolves, dragons and hamsters (just kidding about the hamsters…really). We’re looking for the best of your shifters, no holds barred. Show us your sexy, your untamed and all the growls, purrs and squeaking hamster wheels (still kidding about this part) you think we can handle.

Samhain Publishing is seeking submissions for their as-yet-untitled Summer 2009 shapeshifter anthology. Stories can be of any genre or heat level—make them fun, make them sexy, make them burn right off the pages but whatever you do, they must feature a shifter theme as integral to the story. M/m or same-sex submissions welcome and anticipated.

Submissions should be 20,000 to 30,000 words in length. This anthology is open to all authors previously published with Samhain and authors aspiring to publish with Samhain. Submissions must be new material, previously published material will not be considered.

Chosen manuscripts will be published as separate ebooks under their individual titles in Summer 2009 but will be combined in print titles for Spring 2010 print release.

I didn't get around to posting yesterday, like I try to do on most sundays because, yes you guest it ... my birthday ... everything was okay except the fact that I had to work. Speaking of I just got off before I came here.

The only thing I really want is to go to the King Tut Exhibit, which we are next week. I am very excited about it ... You are probably think, "What a weird birthday wish?" I know, very bad girl has not been updating her blog... but i am now ... and i have been doing to writing. I am almost finishined with Forever citrus ... still have some scenes to add but after that ... it should be complete.

I am working on walk away now ... it looks promising but a more challenge ... its my first paranormal romance ... much more to think about if i do it right or wrong ... but time will only tell ..

Dare is with a very trused friend "Nikkie" i trust her to read it and tell me my mistakes ... it will be one of my first completed short stories after she edits it, then i edit it, and then maybe one more time.

Winters night .. i actually went over an idea with "Nikkie" and it looks like it is going to turn out good once i get some time to set down and plot ..

speaking of plotting .. i am reading this book and its about planning a story before you just jump in and start writing .. and that is what i do ... hence the reason why none of mine are finished complete yet ... its called: You Can write ad novel by james v smith jr ..

its a very good book to read and i am acutally using this method for walk away ... and its working wonders ...

any inspiring writers need some help ... pick this one up ... its very informative ...

No excuses. But the good news is that i added a new scene in my forever citrus book that i have been slowly editing. I am very excited about how the story is turning around and hopefully my characters will follow this new path i am throwing in there. They seem to flow with it so far. Fingers crossed.

Sorry its been awhile, i seem to be falling behind before i even begin. My time has been spread out thin but i don't think that is an excuse. Monday starts the first day of the 70 days of sweat ... i will be encouraged to write 4-6pages a day for the next 70 days until the dead line ... i can handle that ... but i might have to mix it up a bit ... working on different stories instead of just one .. i am currently working on about 5 ..

now its been more then a week since my last blog lets update ...

Halloween:
It was fun and my boyfriend and i hade a wonderful time hanging out with friends and being responsible.

this past week i have been sick with a toothache sine wednesday ...
it was either the stomach virus that was going around or the medicine i was taking that made me sick to my stomach on thursday and friday ...
i was doing goo on saturday until my puppy slightly hit me in the mouth while i was petting him ...
and the hard problem i have had to suffer is the sleeping part at night ... i have only been getting 3-5 hours of sleep this past week since wednesday .. last night was a first almost all nighter ... i took some nitetime medicine to get me through the night for i had to work the next morning .. it worked for the most part, except it made me dizzy and woozy all morning ...

but the all in all everything was good, i got to hand out with my 2 younger sisters and do some scrapbooking

my middle sister and i got into a fight but all things will come back together ... she is my sister and i love her ... either though sometimes we dont agree ...

well until tomorrow ...

70 Days Of Sweat

I signed up for the 70 days of sweat for the first time. I am excited and nervous altogether. I am looking forward to all the writing. I have major writer's block sometimes or am just not motivated enough to push myself. I think that with all the supporters and members working just as hard as I will, it will be much easier for me to pust myself ... I can not wait .. Good luck to everyone on the team ...
