New Look: Jes Battis

Night Child - OSI Novel Bk 1
Flash Of Hex - OSI Novel Bk 2
Paranormal Sci Fi

Tess Corday is an Occult Special Investigator. Creatures bump in the night and she is one of the many investigators who bumps back.

I will admit I am a hardcore romance reader but this series had me from the first word. Both books. It gives you a more Official side of what our world would probably be like. How even the paranormal have laws to follow in read society. I am pretty sure this is not how the author intended for me to take out of the book, but that is what I saw.

I saw outsiders how aren't really outsiders looking into the paranormal world. The characters were trying to found their place just as the demons made havoc and forcing themselves a place as well. Trying to be all power and gods. SO like those demons.
The writing is incredible. Its first person but you get to understand Tess more this way and a personal note. I don't think the book would be amazing otherwise. I got to see how Tess interupts things and how the reason behind her thinking. Even I may not have agreed with how her thought process worked. I enjoyed her as a character and would love to be her friend.
I personally surprise myself for actually picking it up and reading it. Like I have said before, I am a picky reader. Although I am disappointed that it took me, pretty much 3 days to finish the second one (with school, work, and errands). It should of only taken me a day. I am getting old in reading ... hehehehehe
Here is an Blurb for Night Child:
That’s a dead vampire, I thought. My boss dragged me out of bed at two in the morning to see a dead vampire? I might be an Occult Special Investigator for Vancouver’s Mystical Crime Lab, but a dead vampire is routine, and no reason to disturb a person’s sleep! Then I took a closer look at the body…

Tess Corday soon realizes that there is not going to be anything ordinary about this case. Not the lab results on the cause of death. Not Mia Polanski, the teenage girl living at the address found in the vamp’s pocket, who may well be in thrall to a demon. And certainly not Lucian Agrado, the necromancer who is liaison to the vampire community. Agrado is supposed to be part of the solution, but Tess suspects he might be part of the problem.
Under pressure from her boss, Tess is trying to go by the book on this one. But when Mia reaches out to her, she risks her career to help the girl. And finds herself in the middle of a paranormal conspiracy that will change her life forever.

Or possibly end it…
Blurb for Flash of Hex:
After a series of brutal murders, Occult Special Investigator Tess Corday is convinced the identity of the killer is locked in her own head. The only question is—how many rules is she willing to break to get to the truth?

Sherrilyn Kenyon Book Signing

Sherrilyn Kenyon's new book came out Bad Moon Rising and she had a book signing here in dallas texas. Love the book, love her ,and her co-author Dianne. Loved this book just as well. Go Fang and Aimee!!!!!!!!!

My Boyfriend Bobby, Dianne Love, Me, and Sherrilyn Kenyon.
It was wonderful. I had a great time. Both ladies are super nice and hella funny. You can tell they enjoy what they do and have a fun time keeping the crowds happy.

To Dianne, thanks for letting me help
To Sherrilyn, I was serious about me needing help on my writing. any tips on mainly writers-block-itis and changing stories would help alot.

Good luck to both of you and I hope the rest of your tour goes well.
